Battle Project Rubric
You will choose one of the following events from the Civil War:
- Ft. Sumter
- Antietam
- Gettysburg
- Vicksburg
- Surrender at the Appomattox Courthouse
This event name will be the title of your project.
Next you will create one of the following assignments regarding your Civil War event. You must use the information you learned during your web quest assignment. If you are interviewing a person, please choose a significant individual from the event. Example: Robert E Lee or General Grant could both be interviewed if you choose the surrender at Appomattox Courthouse.
- Flipgrid
- I will give you a Flipgrid code if this is your choice. You will create a 2-3 minute Flipgrid explaining the significance of the event and the important people who were at the event.
- Interview video
- You will create a 2-3 minute video interviewing someone from the event you chose. Make sure to ask the person about the significance of the event.
- Interview recording
- You will create a 3 minute video interviewing someone from the event you chose. Make sure to ask the person about the significance of the event.
- Brochure (digital or physical)
- Create a brochure that shows a picture of the event (colored,) describes the important people at the event, and the significance of the event.
- Google slide or Powerpoint presentation
- Create two or three slides that show pictures of the events, the important people at the event, and describe the significance of the event.
- Drawing (digital or physical)
- Draw an image of the event you chose and write one sentence of why it was significant. Picture must be colored.
